| Archibus Space Module Implentation Teams |
| The Archibus Space Module Implantation was made up of two teams. Steering Committee which became the approving authority and a Sub-committee called the working group. |

| Building Coding - Building codes are four digits and assigned by building age and use. For example, the first Academic building on campus was Kennedy which is building 0001. |
| Building Naming - Board of trustees approvals building official name of buildings. Once the building name is approved, the AVC FM will then make the determination of the abbreviated working name for Archibus. |
| Floor Coding - Floor code is two characters assigned by existing floor identification. For example the first floor of a building would be assigned 01as the floor code. Future building floor identification must follow Campus Design manual standards. |
| Room Coding - Room code is based currrent room number assigned by existing room identification. Future building room identification must follow Campus Design manual standards. |
| Organization Code - Originally was based off of RFS department codes but has been replaced by Banner Finance module five digit codes. Archibus links to banner for these codes and does not administer this data other think linking purposes. Division (2 digit), College/Admin Unit (3 digit), Department (4 digit), and Sub-Department (5 digit). All rooms are assigned to the sub-department level 5 digit code. |

| Room Category code and description - Room category code and description is a general description of the room use. The room category code and description came from the pre-exsiting UNC-OP Room Use Category Structure (RUCS). A extra digit was added to the code to allow for any possible need to expand or add. |

| Building Space Campus Data |
Archibus Implantation Teams developed data standards that were needed to start building the Archibus space data that would use as the foundation. Once the data standards had been approved by the steering committee the Facilities Management Facilities Information Systems CAFM administrators had the major task of building the space data. All space data comes from AutoCAD drawings. The problem that the FIS CAFM team faced was that the majority of campus buildings only had paper drawings and/or un-standardized CAD drawings including the renovation drawings that went back several years. The FIS CAFM team took the time consuming project of going through all campus buildings and manually measured, verified, re-drawing and then surveyed again for accuracy. Due to the amount of buildings and resources this project took several years to complete. |
